well, maybe “really f’ing fast” would be more appropriate.
anyway, this is my workflow:

  1. take some time to get familiar with your mockup, especially if you weren’t the one who created it. assess (confidently) what you’ll be doing for the tricky parts. have a plan. spending a good 15 or more minutes doing this will actually speed you up.

    note: if it’s really complicated, you might want to print your mockup and start drawing boxes, noting class/id names etc.
