What was the #1 Song on the day you were born?

moth:

Wow, for me, it was Billy Swan, I Can Help (Nov 24, 1974). I’ve never heard of Billy Swan — I guess I always thought this was a Ringo Starr song.

Also, I’m totally freaked reading my Tumblr dashboard on this one and realizing that most of the people reblogging this post were born in the mid- to late-’80s. I vividly remember the songs coming out they’re talking about. I was in middle school and junior high when songs like “Sweet Child of Mine” and “Papa Don’t Preach” came out, and these people were born when those songs were #1. Now I feel like those older guys I knew who hung around the mall and remembered Pink Floyd and Rod Stewart coming out, and I always thought they were dinosaurs.

Getting older is worse than anyone told me it would be.

I wasn’t going to reblog this, but after reading this I had to.
