“Franken Talks Down Angry Mob. About a dozen tea party activists had staked out Franken’s booth, and confronted him loudly when he arrived. But within minutes, he’d turned an unruly crowd into a productive conversation on health care.” (via dustytrice)
Wow, Franken really impresses in this video. He covers everything - current costs, future costs, uninsured issues, medicare problems - all very intelligently and passionate. Obviously he isn’t going to be able to change the minds of the Tea Party activists, but you can just see the gears turning on their faces, probably for the first time in a long time.
This makes me want to revisit some of my old Poli-Sci books. (via superdoofus-stratodrive)
