Today was Tiring
10:30am: Woken up by roommate, temporary landlord emergency. Need to know which boxes in the basement are mine.
11:30am: Check supposed to me delivered to me was returned to sender because he forgot a stamp.
12:30pm: Find out that my unemployment claim was denied because I didn’t get in touch with claim representative within 48 hours regarding a mistake on the form.
12:31pm: Realize this is because my visual voicemail has been broken for a month. 15 missed voicemails, including one from Lydia at NYS Claims Center, on Monday.
12:32pm: I calmly and deliberately scream obscenities into a pillow.
1:30pm: AT&T can’t fix voicemail, takes $20 off my bill.
2:30pm: Realize I’ve boxed up my backup drives, hopefully that box didn’t get thrown away (see 10:30am).
3pm: Receive call back from Lydia at Claims Center. She is nice. She doesn’t screw me with bureaucratic BS. She fixes the problem in the computer and reverses the denied claim.
3:01pm: I calmly and deliberately scream for joy into a pillow.
3:02pm: Pass out for two hours.
