I appreciate Apple’s recent reasonable RAM pricing, but this is a bit ridiculous for hard drives…

Tip: It’s easy to buy hard drives from Newegg and install them in a Mac Pro yourself.

I was at the Apple Store last night (they gave me a new iPhone cause mine was cracked!). There was a ditzy sorority girl there asking the guy at the Genius Bar for some advice on Photoshop.

“Is there like a halfsy version? All I want to do is like crop an Owl from this picture and put it on this picture.”

At first he tried to sell her the student version of Photoshop. I wanted to jump in and say, are you kidding, download some PS clone for free! To my surprise, a few minutes later he actually suggested the same thing to her.

The thing is, after he explained what it was and where to go to download it, I think she thought it was too complicated to do it herself and went ahead and bought PS!  The irony is, PS is probably way too complicated for her and she’ll probably end up using Word.
