BlackBook Is Hiring: Web Producer

(For real this time.) The Web Producer reports to the Creative Director and is responsible for daily administration and maintenance, as well as custom services and deploys, on the BlackBook websites. The Web Producer will be involved in projects from conception and pitch through architecture, design, execution, testing, and deployment. Compensation includes competitive salary based on experience, plus benefits and equity in the company. The position is full-time based in our New York offices, where candidates must be available to physically interview; we will not finance travel to interviews nor relocation expenses.

Responsibilities
+ Creating, formatting and managing digital content of an editorially driven website.
+ Working with account and technical staff to create project requirements and execution techniques.
+ If lacking in hardcore development/coding experience (as noted in “Bonus Skills” below), must demonstrate commitment and ability to quickly learn those skills and train up to assume responsibility for website development tasks in the shortest time possible.


Requirements:
+ 3+ years working in production for web properties in media, consulting, project management, agency work, or other relevant fields.
+ Experience with commercial website development and a strong understanding of web development technologies, including XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
+ Good design aptitude, especially around wireframing and asset management.
+ Strong understanding of the basic principles of content management systems.

Bonus Skills:
+ Agency experience, including creative, technical, clients, and vendors.
+ Experience with Ruby on Rails.
+ Skill and experience with API implementations.
+ Strong understading of Wordpress templating.
+ Basic PHP skills.
+ Flash.
+ Knowledge of SEO and analytics concepts.
+ Mobile software development experience.

Software Skills:
+ Photoshop, Illustrator, Wordpress.
